BAK SüdWest: Fibre Optic Cable in Microtubes
Throughout Europe operators of regional television and radio cable networks are bringing their infrastructure up to the state of the art. In Mannheim, SAG - acting as the general contractor - installed a combined optical fibre/coax cable network with a route length of 35 kilometres, via which all customers served by GBG Wohnungsbaugesellschaft are provided various telecommunication services. In this context, the installation of a microtube system with an outer diameter of just 50 mm was commissioned for the first time in Germany by BAK SüdWest.
