Starkstromanlagen Aktiengesellschaft (SAG) is established by the railroad company Becker & Co. in Berlin
SAG becomes the joint affiliate of RWE and Lahmeyer

At the beginning of the 20th century, SAG entered the field of overhead power lines construction. From 1930, the company has also been active in the area of power plants. SAG evolved from an exclusive installation company to specialising in the complete support of public utilities and industrial plants.
Lahmeyer becomes the main shareholder of SAG
TESSAG (Technical Systems & Services AG) is established. The business segments of Lahmeyer AG and the NUKEM Group are integrated into TESSAG
TESSAG is renamed to RWE Solutions AG

Since the 1970s, SAG has been developing its position as quality leader. The company professionally completed the 1200 metre 400-kV river Elbe crossing, thus setting a technological milestone. After the opening of the Eastern European borders, SAG opened up new sites throughout Germany and is now able to repair major network faults using its own staff and system.
All energy technology activities of RWE Solutions were centralised under the umbrella of the SAG Group
Advent International acquires the SAG Group, merger of SAG EL, SAG NE, and SAG Holding into SAG GmbH
EQT acquired the SAG Group

SAG aims to become the leading service provider for energy infrastructure in Europe. The company pursues such growth targets by deepening its portfolio in existing markets and strengthening the workforce in the target countries.
SAG increases its presence in Eastern Europe: acquisition of Elektrovod Holding (Slovakia) and Elcon Elbud (Poland)
Acquisition and integration of Bohlen & Doyen into the SAG Group
