In 2007, after 11 years of continuous operation, the Dlouhé stráně pump storage system was ready for renovation. SAG redeveloped the control and excitation unit.

Due to its location on the crown of the High Ash Mountains, the Czech Republic's biggest pump storage system, with the largest reversible water turbine in Europe, is subjected to some rather rough climatic conditions. In order to be able to guarantee the circulation of water from the almost 1350 meters above sea level, along the two long high pressure pipes (each 1500 meters) to the lower reservoir 525 meters below and back, the power station was given a general overhaul. Since the end of 2008 therefore, SAG-assembled control cabinets, excitement systems, cabling and new instruments, among other things, have been catering for the smooth operation of the hydropower station.
